About Non-Operation Charge (NOC)

If the vehicle requires repairs or cleaning due to incidents not caused by the company—such as accidents, theft, breakdowns, contamination, or odors (including smoking in non-smoking vehicles)—a fee will be charged as partial business compensation for the repair period, regardless of the extent of the damage or the time required.

  • If the vehicle is returned to the designated office by self-driving: ¥50,000

  • If towing is required: ¥100,000

If the vehicle requires repair or cleaning due to reasons not caused by the company—such as accidents, theft, breakdowns, contamination, or odors (including smoking in non-smoking vehicles)—normally a business compensation fee is charged during the repair period.

Waived (No NOC will be charged)


■ The following cases will be the customer's responsibility:

  • If you do not follow the proper procedures such as reporting to the police and the rental company at the time of the accident.
    (Regardless of accident severity, whether there is a counterpart involved, or fault, always contact the police and our company on-site.)

  • If the rental agreement is violated.
    (Examples: violation of traffic laws, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unauthorized extension, driving by unregistered persons, vehicle transfer, unlicensed or reckless driving, or usage against public order and morals, making settlements without company consent, etc.)

  • If the case falls under exclusions in the insurance or waiver policy.
    (Examples: intentional damage, driving under the influence, tire punctures or damage, lost wheel caps, damage to property owned/used/controlled by the customer, etc.)

  • In cases of negligence during use or management.
    (Examples: vehicle theft due to key left in ignition, illegal parking, damage from contamination/odor inside the vehicle (including smoking in non-smoking cars), lost equipment, mishandling of chains or carriers, incorrect fuel, off-road driving such as on beaches or riverbanks, etc.)


② During Use

❶ In Case of an Accident

  • Assist any injured person

  • Contact the police
    (Note: Insurance may not apply if you do not obtain a police report.)

    (Outside business hours, please leave a voicemail or contact us the next day.)

  • If towing is needed:

    → The vehicle will be transported to the towing company’s yard.

  • Return transportation is not covered by insurance. Please make your own arrangements.

❷ In Case of Mechanical Trouble

    (Leave a voicemail or call the next day if outside business hours)

  • If towing is needed:
    Kyoei Fire & Marine Insurance: 0120-044-787
    Nippon Life Insurance: 0120-49-1012
    → The vehicle will be transported to our designated yard.

  • Return transportation is not covered by insurance. Please prepare it yourself.

❸ If You Illegally Park

If you receive a parking violation during use, it is your responsibility to report to the local police department and pay the penalty immediately.
Upon vehicle return, please provide:

  • The parking violation notice

  • Receipt with payment confirmation stamp

⚠ If you do not provide proof of payment, a ¥25,000 parking penalty deposit will be collected.
→ This will be fully refunded once you submit the violation payment receipt later.


③ Upon Return

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of designated fuel (regular gasoline). Please refuel the vehicle before returning.

If full refueling is not possible, a charge will be calculated based on either mileage or remaining fuel gauge, which may cost more than the actual fuel price. Your understanding is appreciated.


⚠ Notes

  • Replacement vehicles may not be available in case of breakdown or accident.

  • Vehicle repairs or swaps may not be possible if any issues arise.

  • Driving on sand beaches is strictly prohibited.

  • Do not board the vehicle wearing swimsuits or while wet.

  • Avoid loading sandy or wet beach equipment.

  • Unauthorized extensions will incur a charge of ¥50,000 per day.

  • Key loss or damage will incur a charge of ¥50,000.
